Clyde grew up in the Bay Area of California while later moving to the
Sacremento area. As he grew so did hid love for baseball. He chose attended
Del Campo High School where as a Senior he was chosen Sacremento area
player of the year. He would go on to Sacremento City College where he
would be under the expertise of Jerry Weinstein known for his work
with the Olympic Team. At SCJC Clyde thrived as a pitcher and second baseman
where his numbers were big. Clyde's prowess was drawing the attetion of
some larger programs and ended up signing with the Florida State Seminoles
At Florida State Clyde would pitch in the College World Series as he
established himself as a consistent pitcher. (Look for Clyde's stats
as this page grows) After FSU Clyde would play professional baseball
with the Mets and Cardinal organizatios. Clyde's ride to the bigs ended
sadly with serious arm injury. He would take over the Berkeley Bucs in 1994.
