  • SAFER is providing to the LIDAR, nuclear, scientific and industrial user the MCS-100 Multichannel Scaler Averager ultra high speed (330MHz count rate), short range bin (37.5 meters) and the Synchron-II Synchronized Clock Generator for LIDAR Remote sensing, nuclear and high speed counting applications.
  • The MCS-100 Multichannel Scaler Averager and Synchron-II Synchronized Clock Generator fit in an IBM PC ISA slot.
  • One or more MCS-100(s) are synchronized and clocked with the Synchron-II Synchronized Clock Generator. The Synchron-II can drive multiple data acquisition devices & systems that require timing synchronized to an external event.
  • Eye-Safe, RAMAN, DIAL LIDAR systems and nuclear counting systems are now operating with these IBM PC-based MCS-100 Multichannel Scaler and Synchron-II Synchronized Clock Generator.
  • Will be Exhibiting these products at the ILRC Anapolis, Maryland and SPIE San Diego, California

  • MCS-100 Multichannel Scaler Averager Features:
  • 250 ns, 37.5 meter range bins/ minimum dwell, no maximum time per bin
  • 330 MHz count rate (NIM); 50 MHz (TTL)
  • 32 bit counts per range bin (2**32 counts/ bin)
  • Range counting bins; 16k to 1 million range bins (64k standard)
  • No interchannel dead time, No lost counts
  • Fits in PC ISA slot, 20 watts
  • Unlimited number of MCS-100s in one system. Each is completely autonomous.
  • No CPU resources are required during data acquisition.
  • All data acquisition is done in hardware on the MCS-100. Data memory is on-board.
  • No Interrupts on PC bus, MCS hardware Address is controlled by DIP switches
  • All data acquisition functions performed by hardware in the product.
  • Independent of the CPU and CPU speed.
  • Works in DOS, WIN 3.1, WIN 95, 98, Windows NT
  • Works with all LabView versions
  • Can be remotely controlled by Mac, Unix, or IBM PC anywhere in the world remotely.
  • Complete system can be delivered. Engineering, hardware and software complete turnkey.
  • Other programs can be running while data acquisition is underway.
  • Will work in DOS, WIN 3.1, WIN 95/98 WIN NT & LabView with any IBM PC compatible processor, 286 or better.
  • Microsoft FORTRAN, LabView and other language drivers. Full Internet system control and readout.
  • Will be Exhibiting these products at the ILRC Anapolis, Maryland and SPIE San Diego, California

  • The MCS-100 is synchronized and clocked with the Synchron-II Synchronized Clock Generator. The Synchron-II can drive multiple data acquisition devices or systems that require timing pulses that are synchronized to an external event.

  • Synchron-II Synchronized Clock Generator Features:
  • $2795 each
  • Programmable delay for first pulse after trigger... In 10 ns increments
  • Delay and pulse repetition rate programmable in 10 ns increments
  • up to 10 MHz synchronized clock train; as slow as 1 pulse per week
  • Controls up to 8 data acquisition devices, TTL outputs
  • 2x10**-7/year stability, Temperature compensated crystal
  • Controls many manufacturer's devices: Tektronix, DSP, LeCroy, Hewlett Packard
  • Software and Hardware Enable/Disable functions
  • fits in PC ISA slot
  • LabView, Microsoft or Lahey FORTRAN and other language drivers
  • 19" standalone(does not require PC to control) rack mount model available
  • The MCS-100 Multichannel Scaler Averagers deliver 37 meter range bin, 330 Mhz count rate (2**32 counts/bin) in a easy-to-use, IBM PC based system.
  • These modules are controlled by optional drivers for FORTRAN, LabView and other languages.
